Service Above. Service Beyond.

Born From Service

Patriots to Pilots began with a simple realization: for many Veterans, the desire and ability to pursue aviation are there, the opportunity to get started is not. Veterans leave military service with experience, discipline, determination, and a proven ability to perform in demanding environments. Those qualities translate naturally into aviation. Yet pursuing a professional flying career requires an initial investment that can place the dream out of reach before training ever begins. The Private Pilot Certificate is the first major milestone, but the cost of aircraft rental, flight instruction, ground school, testing, and other training expenses can create a significant financial hurdle. That first step can be the difference between someone simply dreaming about becoming a pilot and actually beginning the journey. Patriots to Pilots was created to help close that gap. Based in Central Florida, we bring together Veterans, aviators, flight-training partners, businesses, donors, and members of the community around a shared mission: give deserving Veterans the opportunity to take the controls and begin their next chapter. Selected Veterans receive support toward their initial flight training while progressing through meaningful milestones, from their first lesson and first solo to the completion of their Private Pilot Certificate. From there, the goal is for each recipient to continue building experience, earning advanced ratings, and working toward a professional aviation career. We are building Patriots to Pilots deliberately one Veteran at a time so that every contribution can be connected to something tangible: another hour in the aircraft, another training milestone completed, and another Veteran moving closer to a career in aviation.
